Daenerys Targaryan Pencil Portrait

I did another Daenerys drawing. This time I used water-soluble graphite pencils dry. I could take a brush but then it might get ruined. Because me and the brush are not best friends (yet). ;)

Audrey Hepburn colored pencil portrait

Finally finished this portrait. Found a nice black and white picture of her and tried my best. This time I used Strathmore paper and as usual my FC Polychromos pencils.

Portrait and Figure Drawing Class

On the weekend I was in a portrait and figure drawing class! It was awesome - the teacher was great, I learned new techniques and I did quite well with life drawing in general. The only problem I have is measuring proportions. I simply don’t do it, I mostly draw contour lines first and most of the times the proportions are right. So the teacher taught me how to measure afterwards to reassure the correct proportions. I need a lot more practice, so I hope I find people willing to sit for me so I can draw (their face). These are some drawings I did during the class.

Daenerys Targaryan - Game of Thrones, done with black pastel

I’ve started over. I’m not so happy with the shading. It’s black pastel. I could tweak it a lot more but I want to pick up my colored pencils again.

Gumpoldskirchen Watercolour finished

I've finished the watercolour painting of Gumpoldskirchen now at home. It does look like a painting from a child. I have so many problems with watercolour. But as a first plein air painting I'm happy that I got the perspective nearly right. When sitting there I wasn't sure how to tackle this view. How I can translate it into a painting. So this is something I'm happy with. I don't know if I will ever learn to use watercolours. But I will try again.

Les Miserables Amanda Seyfried Colored Pencil Portrait

I finally finished this portrait. There are still many issues but I'm getting more confident in using colored pencils. I have used Faber-Castell Polychromos.
